Accepting a Deposit or Full Amount

Set whether each payment method accepts a deposit or the full amount of the building

Specify whether each payment method you have setup for Checkout collects a deposit or the full cost of the building.

Note This capability is supported in the new SalesView layout only. To enable this layout, go to your SalesView Settings (by clicking on your name in the upper-left corner) and select Try New SalesView Look.

To Configure the Payment Method for a Deposit or Full Amount

  1. Login to SalesView with an user that has Admin permissions.

  2. In the left panel, select Sites. Then, select Edit for the site you want to adjust.

  3. Under Site, select Payments & Deposits.

  4. Under Payment Methods, select an option:

    1. Deposit. To collect the deposit amount when this payment method is used during checkout.

    2. Total. To collect the full amount (including the subtotal, tax, and delivery fees) when this payment method is used during checkout. When Total is selected, the Deposit is not relevant for the transaction.

  5. Preview your site with these changes to verify that the correct amount is shown under the Estimate.

  6. Publish the site to apply these to your live website.

To provide options to collect the deposit OR the full amount with a payment method (for example, a credit card), contact Support to setup two unique payment methods. Then, you can assign each of them to a different amount.
