βComprehensive, detailed documentation for IdeaRoom product catalogs will be published in 2026.
IdeaRoom sites are created from a database associated with your subscription. This database contains all the products, pricing, and options available on your site, with business logic applied (such as when a particular door or window is shown).
To View Your Product Data
- In SalesView, select Product Catalogs from the left menu.
- If you have more than one site, select the site desired.
- Then, click Product Data (View Only)
The database is organized with individual tables representing elements shown on your site. For example, the screenshot below shows a Leg table that describes two types of carport legs: Standard and Double Legs. Standard legs are available on widths up to 31' and heights up to 14'. Double Legs are available for widths up to 60' and heights up to 16'.
In many cases, the table and column names are descriptive. Note that product catalogs are complex and comprehensive, which can make navigating the data difficult. The product catalog view is most appropriate for someone in your organization who has advanced Excel skills (such as writing complex Excel formulas) or database experience.
Search Your Product Catalog
You can search for any term (for example, a door label) in your product catalog using the Search button in the upper right corner of your screen. You can set the search parameter to include the selected cells, the current table, or all tables in your product catalog.
To move to desired selection, expand the table (in the example below, Base Price) and then click the Open Link button next to the row you'd like to view.
View Expressions
IdeaRoom uses expressions to apply rules and logic to your products. Expressions are similar to an Excel formula or HTML markup. To view an expression in a cell, double-click the cell and a larger editor window will show the content.
For Internal IdeaRoom Use Only
To enable a view-only product catalog, use the Read-Only Product Data toggle for this client (Reference -> Groups -> Client -> Configurators).
