⚙️ Overview
Smartbuild Show Totals allows you to choose one of two pricing sources:
✅ Option A: Use IdeaRoom
Totals shown in SalesView come from IdeaRoom pricing
PDF totals come from IdeaRoom pricing
No Smartbuild pricing is used
✅ Option B: Use Smartbuild
When Smartbuild is selected:
The PDF will show:
Total
Subtotal
Tax
Services Total
The Total shown in SalesView will be pulled from Smartbuild
Users can request the latest Smartbuild totals for a lead using Update
📝 Smartbuild totals only appear in SalesView + PDF, not in the configurator UI.
🛠️ Step 1: Locate the Setting in SalesView
Purpose
Access the Price Visibility menu where Smartbuild Show Totals is configured.

Open SalesView
Navigate to Sites
Open Price Visibility
Locate the setting for Pricing Totals
🧾 Step 2: Choose Pricing Source (IdeaRoom vs Smartbuild)
Purpose
Controls whether totals are populated using IdeaRoom or Smartbuild.
Instructions
In Price Visibility, find Pricing Totals
Select one option:
✅ IdeaRoom
✅ Smartbuild
Publish your changes or Preview first, then publish.

If Pricing Source = IdeaRoom
SalesView totals come from IdeaRoom
PDF totals come from IdeaRoom
No Smartbuild totals are shown or referenced
If Pricing Source = Smartbuild
When Smartbuild is selected:
SalesView
Total is pulled from Smartbuild
PDF generated after Submit Design
PDF will include:
Total
Subtotal
Tax
Services Total
Smartbuild Total in SalesView
Smartbuild Totals in the PDF
🔄 Step 3: Request Updated Smartbuild Pricing (Per Lead)
Purpose
Allows users to fetch the latest Smartbuild totals for an existing lead.
Instructions
Open SalesView
Select a Lead
Click Update
Wait for totals to refresh from Smartbuild
📝 This is only applicable when the pricing source is set to Smartbuild.
🚫 What This Feature Does NOT Do
When Smartbuild is selected:
❌ Smartbuild pricing is not shown inside the configurator
❌ No line-item breakdown from Smartbuild or IdeaRoom appears in the configurator
❌ IdeaRoom pricing will be set to hidden
❌ Only the following are populated from Smartbuild:
PDF: Total, Subtotal, Tax, Services Total
SalesView: Total only
🧠 Common Issues & Fixes
Issue: PDF totals are blank when Smartbuild is selected
Likely Cause: Smartbuild totals were not returned for the design
✅ Fix: Open the lead and click Request Update, then re-submit the design.
Issue: The SmartBuild totals column is not displaying in SalesView
Likely Cause: Smartbuild was selected and published, but the changes have not propogated to the SalesView page
✅ Fix: Refresh your SalesView browser page and changes should propagate
Issue: “Request Update” doesn’t change the total
Likely Cause: Smartbuild returned the same totals or the lead isn’t linked correctly
✅ Fix: Try again after confirming the lead/design is connected to Smartbuild.
❓ FAQs
Does Smartbuild replace all pricing inside IdeaRoom?
No. Smartbuild only controls:
SalesView Total
PDF Total, Subtotal, Tax, Services Total
IdeaRoom's Price Visibility will be set to Hidden when SmartBuild pricing totals are selected, so the configurator will not show any pricing values.
Do we show Smartbuild line items anywhere?
No. Smartbuild line items are not displayed in the configurator or SalesView totals view.
Who controls this setting?
Customer Admins control this setting in SalesView.
Can a customer switch between Smartbuild and IdeaRoom anytime?
Yes. They can update the setting in Pricing Visibility, and totals will follow that selection.
