Step 1: Ensure You Have Admin Permissions

To make pricing changes in SalesView, you need admin permissions. If you’re unable to log in, contact our support team to reset your password or request a new invitation.

Step 2: Access the Pricing Tab

Once logged in:

  1. Navigate to the Pricing tab on the left-hand menu.

Option 1: Permanently Change your prices

Step 1: Adjust Base Prices

In the Base submenu, you will see a grid displaying the base prices for different building styles, sizes, and regions (if applicable). If you're using ShedView, you’ll also see siding type options. If you are using CarportView, you’ll also see roof style options.

To update base prices:

  • Manually enter the new prices for each category.

  • Click Preview to ensure accuracy before publishing.

  • Once satisfied, select Publish to apply the new prices to your live site.

Reminder: Published changes are permanent and immediately visible to customers.

Step 2: Modify Individual Components

You can also adjust pricing for specific components like cupolas, doors, garage doors, and windows.

To update component prices:

  1. Click the Components submenu.

  2. Select the type of component you want to modify (e.g., Garage Doors).

  3. Adjust pricing for each individual item.

  4. Preview the changes in the sandbox environment.

  5. Once verified, click Publish to finalize the update.

Option 2: Apply Temporary Adjustments

If you need a temporary price change, use the Adjustments submenu instead of modifying Base or Components prices. These adjustments are fast to add, easy to change, and can be a great stop-gap while you redesign your pricing.

Path 1: Apply a Surcharge or Discount (Visible to Customers)

  • Allows you to apply additional charges or discounts based on:

    • Size (ShedView)/Width (CaportView)

    • Siding

    • Region/State

    • Subtotal

  • Use a negative sign (-) for discounts and keep surcharges positive.

  • These adjustments appear as a separate line item on customer quotes and estimates.

  • Customize the description to clarify the reason for the price adjustment.

💡 Tip: Use the Information Panel feature on the Sites tab to advertise your pricing changes (sale promotion or projected cost increase).

Path 2: Change Prices of Line Items (Hidden from Customers)

  • This option modifies the displayed price of individual items directly without showing a separate adjustment.

  • Example: A $100 window with a 10% surcharge will simply appear as $110.

  • Customers will not see a separate surcharge or discount in their quote.
