IdeaRoom supports two installation surface shapes:
Footprint (contoured): Covers only the roofed/covered areas of the building.
Full-area (rectangular): Covers the entire building perimeter.
The images below show a comparison of these two options.
Note: Installation Surface Shape options must be enabled by IdeaRoom Support. Submit a request through the IdeaRoom widget in the lower-right corner of your SalesView application.
Prerequisites
Installation Surface must be configured before you can set Installation Surface Shape.
Shape options are only available for buildings with a non-rectangular footprint.
How to Enable Installation Surface Shapes
Currently, you must submit a request to IdeaRoom Support. They will complete the steps below.
In SalesView, go to Product Data → Installation Surface Shape tab.
Add rows depending on how you want the options to display:
One row → use the same installation surface shape setting for all buildings.
Two rows → allow buyers to select between full-area and footprint.
For each row, provide the following:
Enabled: Check to make the option available.
Key: Unique identifier in your IdeaRoom data.
Label: Buyer-facing text in the Viewer.
Shape:
footprint→ contours to covered areas onlyfull-area→ rectangular perimeter
Default: Select one option as the default (only one per building).
Hide Line Item: Check to hide the option from details, emails, and PDFs.
Publish your updates to apply changes to your site.
