Sales Workspace is where your team manages the sales process in SalesView — from a customer's first saved design all the way through a closed sale. It replaces the old Leads (Classic) tab.
Sales Workspace lives under the Sales menu in SalesView and is made up of five tabs:
Tab | What it's for |
Drafts | Designs your team has saved that haven't turned into a real customer conversation yet |
Leads | Customers who've engaged — you can see all their saved designs and quotes in one place |
Deals | Active opportunities you're working to close, tracked on a pipeline |
Orders | Contracts and signatures (unchanged for now) |
Payments | Payment history tied to a deal (unchanged for now) |
The basic flow
When a customer or salesperson saves a design in the configurator, what happens next depends on the email address used to save it:
Registered SalesView email (yours, another team member's, a network dealer's, or a supplier manager's) → the design is saved as a Draft. It has no lead attached yet — it's just sitting there waiting for someone to follow up.
Any other email address → the design automatically becomes a Lead. If that email already has a lead on file, the new design is added to the existing lead instead of creating a duplicate.
From there, the flow continues the same way for both paths:
A Draft gets converted to a Lead manually, once someone decides it's worth following up on (or a design saved under an unregistered email creates a Lead automatically — see above).
When the customer is ready to buy, you convert the lead into a Deal and track it through your pipeline stages.
When the customer checks out or signs, an Order is created automatically.
Payments tied to that deal show up in Payments.
What's new here
If you've used SalesView before, the biggest changes are:
You no longer have to guess which design version is the "real" one — every version is grouped and timestamped under the lead.
You can revise a customer's design without leaving SalesView — no more bouncing to the external configurator.
Deals now live on their own pipeline with clear stages, including a Kanban board view you can drag and drop.
How to turn on Sales Workspace
Sales Workspace is enabled per account, but you can also set it per user or per dealer.
Before you turn this on: if your team has used custom lead stages as a stand-in for notes (for example, a stage called something like "Called - no answer" or "Waiting on financing"), reach out to our Support team first. Sales Workspace uses a new standard set of lead stages, and we'll need to help you migrate that history so nothing gets lost. Enabling Sales Workspace before this migration means those old stages will still display, but they won't be editable until they're sorted out.
Go to Settings.
On the Sales tab, check Enable Sales Workspace (under the Sales tab).
By default, this turns it on for everyone in your account. If you need exceptions:
Under User Settings, add a specific person to give them their own on/off setting instead of the account default.
Under Dealer Settings, do the same for a specific dealer site.
Once enabled, the Sales menu item appears in the left navigation with the five tabs listed above.
